Urgent Copy

If you need an emergency copy brief, proofreading or editing completed for the following day, don't panic. I am usually very flexible and may be able to meet your requirements within 24 hours, or a few days, depending on the brief.

I am quick, reliable and offer an excellent service at short notice. I understand, as I have worked for brands with incredibly tight deadlines and know that certain work (such as emails, blogs and social media copy) can be most effective when content is brand new and relevant for that particular day / week.

Higher fees may apply, so if copy is not urgent, work may take a little longer than stated above.

Briefing

I understand how busy you are and want my service to save you time, so I will fit around your needs as much as possible. I therefore will take or discuss briefs in whatever way is best for you - by phone, email or face-to-face meeting.

I will happily attend initial brainstorms with your teams, generate content ideas or simply take formal or informal briefs as they come.

I will then always follow this up with an email outlining your requirements, which include timings and my cost for your approval. Once you are happy with this, I will progress with the work, meeting the deadlines we have agreed.

I always strive to produce copy that you are happy with, usually offering various options, depending on the brief. I will happily make amends as and where you feel necessary, as part of the initial fee.

If a change in brief or complete re-work is required, this will usually have additional costs, however again this will be discussed beforehand.


Proofreading

From entire publications, catalogues and magazine spreads to website content, leaflet proofs and weekly customer emails - I can copy check and proofread anything you require.

I have exceptional attention to detail and will notice typos, incorrect grammar, inconsistencies, double spaces and check any phone numbers.

I can also edit the copy and advise on a better 'flow' or alternative words to give the copy more impact, if you would like this service.


Copy Editing

You may be someone who likes to produce the copy first yourself, or find that you are 'too close' to the brief and require it re-working to be more impactful or engaging.

Alternatively for a more complex brief, you may find it easier listing what you want to communicate.

I can then transform your copy into inspiring, informative and engaging copy for your customers / readers, getting across your desired messages in a way they will relate to and understand. I will also add the 'sales' messages, any call-to-action and copy triggers to help further sell your products or services.


Costs

I cost competitively per project. After discussing the brief requirements with you, I will provide a no-obligation quote, so we agree all fees in advance. Plus, I offer new clients a small free trial brief, to show you an example of the copy I can produce for your needs.

I find it works best to charge per project or brief, that way you know upfront how much you are paying. I will then also include minor amends into this initial cost, so you are satisfied with the work produced.

However I am also happy to charge per time taken, if this is your preference. My day rate is £250 or £125 for half a day.

I usually work from home, however can work from your offices (at a slightly higher rate), if you require.

My costs vary slightly depending on the complexity of briefs, my time required to complete the brief and how urgent the deadlines are. I will offer reduced rates for regular clients and regular work.

To give you an idea, here's a guideline of some of my freelance Copywriting costs:

•  Customer email: £50 - £150

•  Blog: £30 - £100

•  Direct Mail letter: £75 - £200

•  Name generation (with 40+ options): £150 - £400

•  36-52 page catalogue: £500 - £1000

•  2 page mailing: £150 - £250

•  1 page advertisement: £100 - £150


Meetings / Brainstorms

I'm based in Greater London and can attend meetings, briefings or brainstorms whenever you may require (with notice). This may or may not be charged for depending on if this is an initial meeting, a briefing, a brainstorm and how often you require me to attend meetings. Please ask for more information.

I will be happy to travel and meet new prospective clients for an initial meeting at your offices, at no charge to you, for if you'd like to meet me, see my work or discuss your requirements.

I can then follow up with costs for your required work and you have no-obligation to progress with me if you do not wish to.
